In the name of God the Father, the Son & the Holy Trinity, Amen, the second day of February the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety Five and in presence of witness, I ARCHELAUS YANCEY of Elizabeth City County, being in my perfect senses, [rite?] understanding and knowing the uncertainty of life and also the certainty of death - do make my Last Will & Testament in the following manner -

Item - First I desire that all my just debts may be paid.

Secondly, I give and make full donation of all the remainder of my estate to my dear and beloved wife MARY YANCEY, to her and her heirs forever.

In order that this may be executed I appoint for my Executors testamentary - THOMAS FEEN AND WILLIAM PIERCE - both of said Elizabeth City County and I do acknowledge this to be my Last Will & Testament and revoke all other whatever - and hereby pray to God to have mercy on me and that he may be pleased to receive my soul in Glory. Amen.

At a court held for the aforesaid County June 25th 1795 this will was produced in court and proved by the oaths of JOHN MAHALLON, one of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And at court held for the aforesaid July 23 1795 on the motion of WILLIAM PIERCE one of the Executors in the will named who made oath and entered into bond and security as the law directs certificate is granted him for obtaining probate thereof in due form. THOMAS FEEN, the other Executor in the will named having first renounced his Executorship
