Charles Lewis Yancey (1801-1867)
and wife Martha Withers Yancey (1805-1861) of Gibson Co., TN
Charles Yancey and family came to Tennessee form Virginia
about 1833.
They were prominent members of the community
and were early members of the Milan Baptist Church.
There is now an agricultural museum near where they settled.
