Watkin E. Watkins passed away at his home in Prospect, Thursday evening after an illness of three months
at the age of 82 years.
 He was married to Bessie Fleming as a surprise at the family reunion at Marble Cliff, Ohio 57 years ago
last August 26.
 He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Bernice Ackley, one son John J. Watkins;
three grandchildren Mrs. Wahneta Barnes of Tiffin, John W. Watkins of Waldo and Wayne E. Watkins a
student at Ohio State University, one great grandson, Timmie Barnes of Tiffin; one brother, W. J.
Watkins of Radnor and two sisters, Mrs. T. E. Jones and Mrs. J. E. Downing of Delaware, and other relatives
and friends. Mr. Watkins was a member of the Prospect Methodist Church and of the Masonic Lodge in
Prospect.
 Services were held in the Methodist Church Sunday, November 22, 1953, 2:30 p.m. Minister's Text: Rev.
4:1 - I looked and behold a door was opened in heaven, and the first voice which I heard was as it were a
trumpet talking with me, which said, Come up hither...and immediately I was in the spirit.
 Burial was in the Prospect Cemetery.

Popular Young Couple Married Thursday Evening

 At 6:30 o'clock Thursday evening, at the home of the bride, Miss Lydia Watkins and Emlyn Jones, two
popular young people of Radnor were married by Rev. Mr. Harris.
 The ceremony was a quiet one, attended only by the families of the bride and groom and a few near
friends. After congratulations had been extended, a wedding supper was served. Mr. and Mrs. Jones left
during the evening for Tower Hill, Ills. for a two week visit with the grooms parents.
 Guest from away were: Mr. and Mrs. Winkleman of Cincinnati, and Mr. and Mrs. Edwards of Galion.

Watkins-Davis Nuptials

 Mr. William J. Watkins, of Radnot was married to Miss Mary Davis, of Prospect, Wednesday evening,
December 19, Rev. Smucker officiating. The ceremony took place in the M. E. Church of that town. Mr.
Watkins, son of Mr. J. W. Watkins, is prominently known and very popular in Radnor township. His
bride is an attractive and accomplished young lady, being the daughter of Mr. R. R. Davis. Mr. and Mrs.
Watkins expect to make their future home in Radnor. They are being showered with congratulations by a
large circle of friends.

Llanefyl Montgomery Shire North Wales Jan. 29 - 1809 and died at Radnor O.
Feb. 22 - 1844 age 37 yrs 24 days Emigrated to America in 1820.
 Watkin Watkins and Mary Jones were Married in Radnor Dec. 9 - 1840. Mary
Jones was born in Penlan North Wales July 27. 1817. Came to America in 1820.
 Two sons were born Izates and John W. (my father's father)
 John W. Watkins born June 24 - 1843, died Jan. 28 - 1925.
 John W. Watkins Married Mary Jones daughter of Evan and Ann Jones. Mary
Jones was born Oct 15, 1848 at South Radnor Ohio. Called Troedrohiualar
(Welsh). Died Jan. 19. 1922. John W & Mary Jones were Married Nov. 10, 1870
@ Radnor. They had 6 children.
Watkin Evan born 1871. John P. born 1874. William J. 9-6 born 1877 (my
father) 2 girls & another brother.
The above were descendants of Evan Watkins born Feb 22, 1766 and died
Sept 20 1820. He married Margaret Davis at North Wales May 11 - 1794. They
had 9 children - parents of Watkin Watkins.
