The Family Bible of George Shaver and his wife Barbara Stover.
George Shaver was born at Holthausen, Germany 30th day of August 1753. He entered into the
holy state of Matrimony on the 12th day of February, 1784 with Barbara Stover who was born the
8th day of December 1763.
Their Children
On the 9th day of December 1785, there was born to us a son whom we named David.
On the 27th day of September 1787, a daughter was born and we named her Catherina.
On the 18th day of December 1788, a daughter was born and we named her Fronica.
On the 11th day of October 1790, a daughter was born and she lived 9 days.
On the 22nd day of June, 1792, a daughter was born and we named her Magdalena.
On the 18th day of April 1796, a daughter was born and we named her Barbara.
On the 9th day of May 1798, a son was born and we named him George.
On the 7th day of January 1800, a daughter was born and we named her Elizabeth.
On the 22nd day of January 1804, a daughter was born and we named her Sarah.
Our daughters married as follows -
Catherina married John Gochenour
Fronica married Jonathan Gochenour
Magdalena married Wm. Kronk
Barbara married John Copp
Sarah married Anthony Funkhouser
George Shaver married Mary Beidler April 24, 1823 who died January 3rd, 1844.
Rev. George Shaver married Mary Kagy July 28th, 1844.
Rev. George Shaver died June 15th, 1881 aged 83 years.
