August 22, 1863. In memory of The Terrible Explosion at the Oaks Colliery, near Barnsley, on Wednesday,
the 12th December, 1866, in which her Father and 359 others, men and boys, lost their lives. President, the
Right Hon. Earl Fitzwilliam, K.G., Treasurer, Richard Inns, Esq., Secretary, Mr. Geo. Wm. Atkinson. Search the
Scriptures - John V. 39. Therefore be ye also ready - Matt. XXIV 44."
