Atkins
Edgar Mairel, aged 81, of Atkins died January 8. He was a disabled veteran of World War I and a retired
farmer. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Anna Sorrells Mairel; a daughter, Mrs. Veletia Genice Morris of Little
Rock; three stepsons, William L. and Billy Harold Sorrells and Willard Spurgeon, all of Atkins; two
step-daughters, Mrs. Vivian Godwin and Mrs. Mildred Marshall, both of Atkins, a grandchild and two
great-grandchildren. Funeral was Wednesday by Lemley Funeral Service here.
