This is the Coolidge Family Bible and at the back there are pages of family history and genealogy which show the descent of the Coolidges from John Coolidge who married Hannah Ingram in 1713 as well as the descent from the Jeffersons starting with William Randolph of Warwickshire in England who died at Turkey Island in Virginia in 1711. The Bible was given to Ellen Coolidge by her husband's mother in 1825. It was given to Edith L. Coolidge by her husband's father in 1903. It was give to Harold J. Coolidge by his father in 1934. Used on the Christmas Eve Altar. With the bookplates of J. Coolidge Jr. and Harold Jefferson Coolidge. Harold Jefferson Coolidge's entry on Wikipedia states that he is a descendent of Thomas Jefferson. Coolidge was also a founder of the World Wildlife Fund. The Bible measures 12 inches by 10 inches by 3 inches.
