Rommye Lee Yancey Kentucky Served in World War II in the US Navy. He served on the USS Phoenix and the USS Lake Champlain. Dad was in the Leyte Gulf battle. The USS Phoenix was decommissioned and sold to Argentina. They named it the General Belgrano and it sank during the Faukland Island crisis.

Wayne Roy Yancey  

Wayne Roy Yancey enlisted in the US Navy WWII on 22 July, 1943, and was released on 4 Jan, 1946.  He was a "D" Day vet.

Wesley Franklin Yancey  

He served in WWII.  He was on the USS Lexington CV-2 aircraft carrier that was hit by a Japanese torpedo during the battle of Coral Sea.  He survived and was given the American Defense Service Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal (with 2 Stars), and the WWII Victory Medal.

2ND LIEUTENANT. SERVED IN THE ARMY AIR CORPS. ENTERED U.S. MILITARY ACADEMY ON JULY 1, 1943. GRADUATED ON JUNE 4, 1946. WHILE AT THE ACADEMY COMPLETED FLIGHT TRAINING AND AWARDED PILOT WINGS UPON GRADUATION. COMPLETED 35 YEARS IN THE U.S. AIR FORCE AS A FIGHTER PILOT AND RETIRED AS MAJOR GENERAL WITH HIS COMMAND PILOT WINGS.
