Surname Portal Pages
Over
my years of research – with my primary research being focused
on the Yancey family
I
have also found it helpful (both to myself and to others) to
create web pages – that attempt to show what is available over the
Internet for
a given family/surname – besides Yancey/Yancy.
In
many cases it was not with the intent to “show case” my own
research on the family – merely to have a single “point of entry” for
where to
find information on a given family / surname.
In
other words the page was really more of a “portal” then it was
to share my own research. A portal page simply putting in one
place
a set of links to numerous sources for researching some of
the families
that I have come across over my years of research.
