The Yancey Family Surname
Resource Center and the
Yancey Family Genealogical Database - represent information gathered by a
multitude of Yancey researchers over many decades. It would never have be what
it is today without many dedicated researchers that have gone before us.
The Yancey Family
Researchers Database - shows just how many different people are interested
in some aspect of Yancey family history & genealogy.
As we work jointly together in the collection and analysis of Yancey information
- we can accomplish more than if we simply work alone.
For this reason I ask for your assistance in any of the following areas - or any
other areas you think you may be able to help.
I would also be interested in your ideas.

| Military Pension Records | There are many War of 1812 and Civil War
Pension records in the National Archives - which very few people have
seen - I wonder if some of them may provide information we don't
currently have. Many of these pensions and military records are now
available at Ancestry.com or Fold3.com. Thos who have access to these databases can help in extracting copies of these records for the Yancey Family Surname Resource Center. |
