Edith and Betty Yancey - companions for life
( wtin daughters of Edwin Lewis & Edith
Yancey of Culepepr Co., VA).
Today I have been remembering my years spent with Edith (Toody) and Elizabeth (Betty) Yancey at 4008 Jefferson, Hyattsville Maryland.
My husband was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base during the 60's and we lived in the upstairs apartment of their home. My son, David (now 36) was born while we lived there.
I corresponded with them, even after they moved into assisted living (Friendship Arms) on 42nd street, but lost touch after a while. I was curious if you knew the answer to two questions that I have?
Edith and Betty were identical twins, never married, never separated since birth. Were their death dates close as well? Too, they were originally from "Culpeppa" and often made trips home for decoration day. Were they buried in Culpepper?
They had a brother Alfred, who visited a couple times a year and would take them out to eat. I do not know of any other members in their family.
If you do not know of them, please find them a place with family members in "Culpeppa"
